For Tibetans Heaven (as the West calls it) is a very hot place. Tibetans probably had enough cold weather in this life.
What is “Yuck!” for some, is “Yum!” for others. Want to be safe, dont have expectations, confront life with an open heart and an open mind. The Sufis say “expectation is a prison”.
I had all that in mind when painting this. Is the man in this painting scarry or appealing? He is the Keeper of the Gates of Sod-Om.
